24 Weeks....eeek!

Today we went to our 24 week Dr's appointment and little man is doing great!!! I cannot believe we're at 24 weeks, which means, we only have 3 more months to go! She said I'm not too little, for those of you who think I am, and I'm actually measuring at 25 weeks! His heartbeat was great and she was happy with our progress :)

How far along? 24 weeks

Total weight gain/loss: officially 7.6 pounds!

Maternity clothes? tops still.... old navy has some GREAT deals on maternity clothes!!

Stretch Marks? Nope :)

Sleep: Sleeping great!

Best moment this week: Getting bedding for Michael's crib and buying some decorations for his room! Also we finished registering this weekend, which lifted a HUGE weight off our shoulders!! Then, to top it all off, we got to hear my little man's heartbeat today and I always LOVE that!

Miss Anything? Dr. Pepper... again!

Movement: Yep! Michael is moving WAY more now and today I started to feel him all throughout the day and not just in the evening! 

Food cravings: Sweets

23 Weeks

How far along? 23 weeks

Total weight gain/loss: as of last weekend, 7 pounds! 

Maternity clothes? Tops Still, I have two pairs of pants, but they don't fit right just yet..

Stretch Marks? Nope :)

Sleep: Sleeping great!

Best moment this week: Coming home from work and seeing that Brandon had moved the guest room to the "baby room" and the "baby room" to the guest room!! Now Michael has a larger room and I can actually start thinking about decorations!!!!

Miss Anything? Not everyday, but sometimes after a hard day at work, I would love to have a margarita!

Movement: yes yes yes! Michael moves around like crazy now and we enjoy it so much! Brandon has felt him many times now and he loves it :)

Food cravings: Sweets of all kinds! Why does it have to be Girl Scout Cookie Season in the middle of my pregnancy?!?!?!?

Anything making you queasy or sick: nope!

Pregnancy Symptoms: still feeling great! I do feel stretching in my belly a lot more now and it makes my entire body very uncomfortable when it happens..

Looking forward to: My 24 week appointment and registering at a couple more places. We registered this past weekend at Baby Earth in Round Rock and it was the most overwhelming experience ever!!!! However, we got a lot of great advice and I think we'll like everything we chose :)

Since Michael has been moving around so much, we've started video taping various objects on my belly. Last night, Brandon wasn't home and Michael was going nuts! I decided to put the remote on my belly and take a video to send to Bran and this is what happened.... If you watch the bottom white section of the remote, you can see it move :)

22 Weeks

Best moment this week:  Seeing Michael at our 3d/4d ultrasound!! That was one of the most exciting moments of my entire pregnancy and having our parents there with us, made it even more exciting :)

Movement: YES! He is starting to move around a lot more now and Brandon felt him for the first time on Saturday night! He was very excited and so was I :)

Looking forward to: Deciding which room will be our baby room and getting things organized. 

This weekend we finally cashed in one of our best Christmas gifts and got to see Michael in 3d!! Our families bought us an ultrasound package from a place here in Austin, so we got to go this past weekend and we get to go again at 32 weeks. When we got there, the lady told us that Michael might not look how we expect him to look, because he is only 21 weeks. However, when she finally started, all of us were shocked at how developed he is! I didn't really know what to expect, but I was definitely blown away! To see my baby boy in 3d was an experience I'll never forget. We realized he likes to lay in the smallest part of my uterus and likes to be in a ball position. He has TONS of room to spread out, but instead, he curls up. At one point, he even grabbed his leg and started stretching! It was too funny! He finally became the laid back baby we're used to and stretched out. At that point, he began to throw a little temper tantrum! His arms and legs started going everywhere and he looked like a two-year-old having a fit on the floor! It was definitely a funny moment and one I will not let him forget eighteen years from now! 

The week after Christmas Brandon and I purchased Michael's crib and dresser. We immediately received his crib, but we just got his dresser! I was hoping it would come put together, so we wouldn't have to do it, but of course, it didn't. Last night we spent a little over two hours working on it, before I finally crashed! Today we finally finished and I have to say it looks great!!!

Here's the final product! Now remember, these things will not stay on there because it will turn into his changing table. It's also not in the right position in the room, because we have not made a final decision on which room we will be using. We basically had to put it in the corner, so I can get to my closet in the mornings :)

Best moment this week:  Eating wings last night :) haha! Brandon and I have been trying to eat healthy, but since I've been pregnant, I've been craving wings! For the first time since we found out, I got to eat wings last night :) Yum!! It will probably be the last time too...

Movement: Every so often still, now I feel like he's gently rubbing his bottom on my belly. It feels like a scarf is rubbing up against me and when I look theres nothing there!

Looking forward to: Hopefully I'm going to get a prenatal massage within the next week and I couldn't be more excited!!!

Laying upside down facing my back

Today we got to see our baby boy again at the doctor. We went in for our 20 week appointment and the full anatomy screening. She measured many things throughout the ultrasound and he was not being very cooperative... Sounds like someone I know ;) Each time she would try and look at something on him, he would either move or cover it up! Over an hour later, he finally cooperated and he is doing perfect! His measurements are all great and he is right on track! Right now he is measuring 11 ounces and 19 weeks and 6 days (only 2 days off). He is breech right now, but I'm sure he'll be moving enough to get in the right position. He's also facing my back, so his back is rubbing against my tummy (his elbow must be what's hitting me all the time!) She double checked that he is in fact a boy and he is! We decided to go ahead and announce his name, Michael James, but I promised Brandon I would tell everyone his nickname. We are planning on calling him Mickey after Mickey Mantle, not Mickey Mouse. Brandon wanted to name him Mickey, but we came to an agreement on Michael :) Now that we know he's for sure a he, we plan on purchasing the fabric for his bedding soon along with many more things to get his room ready!!
